CPD provides a means to effectively manage change in the industry, to adopt new work practices where appropriate and to enhance the knowledge and skills of real estate professionals. In doing this, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has sought to raise the standards of professionalism in the industry and to elevate consumer confidence.
A new set of The Commissioner’s Guidelines were issued in July 2006 setting out new topics and rules for 2006-2007. These new rules apply to all Certificate and Licence category holders.

This is the list of Compulsory Learning Areas. You are required to cover 1 of these in the 2006-2007 renewal period and most are incorporated into our current CPD topics.

- Amendments to the Property Stock & Business Agents legislation

Priority Learning Areas
This is the list of Priority Learning Areas from which training can be supplemented. Again most are incorporated into our current CPD topics.

Recognition of Priority Learning (RPL)
RPL is not normally available for CPD. The requirements specify particular time allocations depending on the learning category used and there are specific requirements for each licence category you hold.
