CPD
Not just another ‘requirement’, it’s the key to continuing success
The NSW Office of Fair Trading requires a minimum level of CPD for all Licence and Certificate of Registration holders each year.
As a Licence or Certificate of Registration holder you must complete 12 CPD points in the 12 months following the granting or renewal of your Licence or Certificate. For multiple Licence holders, this represents a change announced by the Minister in February 2007 - from 1 April 2007 multiple Licence holders only need to complete 12 CPD points each year in total, rather than the additional 3 CPD points per Licence category previously required.

How assessment works
Assessment tasks draw from the Commissioner’s Guidelines Learning Category 3 using competency based strategies. You will receive a Certificate of Completion after being assessed as ‘competent’.
Remember, you’re required to keep a record of your training for a period of 3 years. Naturally, Smart Academy will also keep a record of this.

Certificate of Registration - NSW Course in Property Practice (Real Estate)
Getting the right start is half the battle
Looking to launch your real estate career? If you plan to be involved in selling or leasing property in NSW you must hold a Real Estate Licence or Certificate of Registration.
To be awarded a Certificate of Registration you must successfully complete the NSW Course in Property Practice (Real Estate) approved by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
2 course options
At Smart Academy, we make this important first step as easy and convenient as possible. So the course is flexible with minimal disruption to your busy work time.
Choose from a consecutive 3 day seminar course or complete the course by distance education at your own pace within a 3 month period. That way, you can make the most of your time and your investment.
How assessment works
Assessment is continuous with assignments set and assessed using competency based strategies. You will be assessed as ‘competent’ or ‘not yet competent’, but relax, we won’t charge you extra if you need to re-submit a task after being assessed as ‘not yet competent’.
You’ll receive feedback on your assessments within 2 weeks and a Statement of Attainment after achieving ‘competency’.
Remember, you are required to earn 12 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points in the 12 months following the granting or renewal of your licence. Smart Academy can help you fulfil these requirements – call us on 02 9891 4655 for more information on CPD.

In an inspiring, intensive 5 day course we’ll change the way you think. You’ll gain valuable skills enabling you to tackle your most ambitious goals with confidence and enthusiasm. You’ll discover how to tap your true sales potential.
What your success program covers and costs.
The Smart Academy Success Program is designed to provide you with practical, ‘hands-on’ experience. It will show you how to develop your prospecting skills, add new polish to your listing presentations, exploit your negotiating and selling skills, and devise the most effective database marketing strategies.
The program runs for 5 consecutive days from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
It is conducted every 2 months with a maximum group size of 20.
This includes training manuals and morning tea, and afternoon tea each day.
If you have completed the NSW Course in Property Practice with us in the last 3 months prior to the program you plan to attend, the cost will be $1,200. Otherwise the cost is $1,500.
Springboard to Licence and CPD.
Combine the Success Program with industry experience and claim up to 8 units towards your Real Estate Licence.
Complete the Success Program and you'll have satisfied your CPD requirements for the year too.
How assessment works.
Assessment is continuous throughout the program using a variety of competency based strategies. While you will be required to make a number of presentations during the program there will be no formal pass/fail judgements.
The essence of the program is about acquiring the skills that will enable you to ‘hit the ground running’ after just 5 days.
